ProtoHack Vancouver: Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

ProtoHack is the code-free hackathon for aspiring entrepreneurs, business people, and designers. Either flying solo or in a team (up to 4), you’ll go from an idea to an interactive prototype in one day.

ProtoHack exists to show non-coders that they can create something amazing from nothing. We empower and enable the non-technical community with the tools, knowledge and connections that will help bring their idea to life and visually communicate it through prototyping. Law for Nonprofits: The New Societies Act (Richmond)

There are more than 27,000 non-profit societies in British Columbia. All of these organizations must “transition” to BC’s new Societies Act following its proclamation likely November 28, 2016.

All organizations that are incorporated under the current Society Act should be planning to complete their “transition application,” and make any changes to their constitution and bylaws, by the time of their 2017 AGM. This workshop will provide the information on the bylaw and policy changes necessary for your organization to effectively make the transition.

Eli strives to be a connector – the interstitial tissue that holds the muscle of a community together. He’s been a volunteer manager, an event organizer and a digital campaigner.
